About Will It Scare Me
Will It Scare Me started as a small homage to horror movies, made late at night by a few friends who love being scared. It grew into something that means a lot more to us than we expected. It's the first thing we've built that feels truly ours.
We wanted better conversation around horror. Not just whether something was good, but whether it actually got under your skin, whether it was gorier than you were ready for, whether it made you laugh when it wasn't supposed to. A single star rating never told us any of that. So we ask for four scores instead, and we ask people to say what they really thought.
Mostly, though, we wanted a place where the people talking about horror take it seriously and look out for one another. There are content warnings so nobody gets blindsided, lists to keep track of what's next, webs that trace how one story leads to another, and a forum where the conversation can wander. Every autumn we put together a season in review, because that's when we're all watching the most.
The reaper at the door is Ripley Grimm. She was here before the site had a name, and she's the one who leaves the light on.
It's still small, and we're adding to it a little at a time. If something you love isn't here yet, add it. The light is always on.

Gore
How graphic is it? Useful if you'd rather know how much blood there is before you start.

How funny is it? Does it balance scares with comedy, or is it pure horror?
